STEVE LYNCH, PRESIDENT

Steve Lynch brings over two decades of mechanical engineering expertise to Welkin, which he co-founded in 2008. Prior to Welkin, Steve spent over 10 years at James McCullagh Co., Inc. as a Senior Project Manager. Steve managed many of the firm’s large municipal and joint venture projects. His responsibilities included all phases of construction from inception to completion, including estimating, purchasing, subcontract preparation, engineering, design and management of construction activities.

Steve’s key projects included the Avenue V Pumping Station for NYCDEP; the New York City Tunnel No. 3 – Shafts 19B-23B; and the Coney Island WPCP upgrade.

Prior to McCullagh, Steve worked as a plumbing superintendent at Lipsky & Rosenthal, where he worked on projects at New York area airports. Steve holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and is a licensed master plumber in New York City and Long Island.

 

 

Aaron J. Molino, VICE PRESIDENT

Aaron Molino brings nearly a decade of experience to Welkin, which he co-founded with Steve Lynch. Aaron spent six years at James McCullagh Co., Inc. as a Mechanical Project Engineer and Mechanical Project Manager. Aaron enjoys a comprehensive background in mechanical construction, and has successfully managed many aspects of large joint venture projects. His responsibilities covered all phases of construction, including estimating, purchasing, subcontract preparation, engineering, design and management of construction activities

Aaron’s key projects included the Newtown Creek WPCP Upgrade for NYC DEP; the Hunts Point Metering Station and Transmission Project for Iriquois Gas; and the Hunts Point WPCP Upgrade for NYC DEP. The Newtown Creek project was New York City’s $ 493 million upgrade to its largest wastewater treatment plant. Major work included a new control building and two complete batteries of tanks to increase plant capacity.

Aaron has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo and holds a number of safety certifications.
